To update the GPO all I had to do was open the GPO editor, Computer Configuration > Policies > Software Settings > Software Installation, right click on the 11.0.06 MSI select Remove > Immediately uninstall software from users and computers THEN right click select New Package and select the new AcroRead.msi > Assigned > Close Editor > run gpupdate /force /boot on intended machines. Since the original MSI for 11.0.06 is still on the distribution point it will uninstall very cleanly upon reboot and install the new MSI.

The real issue with this new update is the AcroRead.msi. If you do the process correctly the file itself is only 2,360kb. In the past I've (probably all of you) have patched Adobe Reader using the AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi which was always around 47MB. This new 11.0.07 version must be leveraging the rest of the "goodies" in the AIP folder you create using the method I posted above which in total is 187MB BTW!!!

Like I said, Adobe isn't going to change it for this version, but perhaps with 11.0.08 we can get back to business with the single AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi not a whole folder of crappage. That's french. The installation WILL FAIL if you try and run the msi OUTSIDE of the AIP folder. WILL FAIL.
