Hi guys,

You do realize that this makes no sense, given the workflow of premiere pro and other apps that work together with it? If on my one computer I am exporting/encoding from Premiere to Media Encoder, I can still access and work in Photoshop or Audition on the same computer. It will slow down everything, obviously… but I can do it.

Yes, we video folks do tend to use a lot of the applications in Creative Cloud. Many times, more than one at a time. It does make sense to split up the work with 2 computers if you are tying one of them up with the video applications. However, our EULA states that you can't do that unless you have purchased a separate license.

So what is the difference if I am working more efficiently by running the second and third programs on my 2nd computer while exporting from the first?

We're not "just trying to be mean." There are licensing issues (some including royalty based video codecs) that prevent that legally. Sorry about that.

Thanks,
Kevin
