Totally. They probably milk a lot of extra cash out of vectoring everything, even if it's not necessary. "We vector everything" is an odd way of putting it, which is what makes me suspicious. Most of my clients consist of people who don't have appropriately formatted artwork but sometimes all you have to do is spend a few mins in PS with the magic wand and knock out a background. I'm quick with AI so sometimes it's faster for me to vectorize something, but I would never use vectorization as a way to grind out more hours... but then again, I try to be an honest freelancer.
