First chance to respond. Yes, PSE 8 is still alive and well with all images there. The reconnect exercise displayed as missing just about everything on my computer not related to Photoshop. Beyond all that I managed to drag the entire contents onto PSE 12 so all my images are on both versions with the links and details of each image.
My next task is to find and install a plug-in that will enable me to convert over a thousand PCD images I have on a load of Kodak CDs that windows no longer recognizes. In fact that is the only reason I upgraded to PS Elements 12. Now you know I'm old.
