I have been having lots of charging problems with Ink. Usually it fast blinks red when I first plug into USB (direct in back of iMac) and it seems like its saying there is a problem with it. If i re-seat the USB and plug in again it will then go to slow red pulsing which tells me its charging. Now its fully charged so the rainbow LED is showing but when I connect to Line and connect the Ink it shows the battery status (in Line) as dead. The Ink works for a minute and disconnects showing the battery dead, but I plug back into USB and it immediately shows rainbow LED. So I have a fully charged Ink that is essentially useless. I'm going to issue a refund from Adonit and think about spending $200 after the bugs get worked out on this hardware, seems like beta to me.
