Would you value some objective comments from someone less "involved" with your website?
Visitors come to appreciate the art of your photos; I fail to understand why you would want to distract them with "techie" details like HTML path strings.
Why would you want to burden your server bandwidth with all these unnecessary round trips, stunt your download time and inconvenience your visitors time and your own time building dozens of new pages and a whole new navigation system just to display a single photo?
Can you even tell that this is not a separate page?
Even if you only put full HTML path strings on only your large images, it's still unnecessary clutter.
On the thumbnail page, full path HTML strings would be a mess.
Just this guy's opinion of course.
